Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Outshines Jigra with Strong Opening Weekend :
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has opened strongly at the box office, outperforming Jigra in its first weekend. Both movies hit theaters on October 11. Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, collected ₹18.8 crore over the weekend, while Jigra, featuring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, earned ₹16.8 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
The clash between these two films was anticipated to be competitive, especially with a long weekend, giving audiences more time to watch them. However, despite the festive atmosphere, there wasn’t a significant spike in ticket sales for either film.
On its first day, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video collected ₹5.5 crore. It experienced a healthy growth of 25.45 percent on Saturday, earning ₹6.9 crore. On Sunday, the earnings slightly dropped to ₹6.4 crore but still kept the film ahead of Jigra.
Despite Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video having a better start, both films are still in their early box office runs. Their long-term success will depend heavily on audience reception and word-of-mouth. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the coming days and whether the gap between their collections widens or closes.
