Tumbbad Re-Release Breaks Records, Crosses ₹21.57 Crores in 10 Days

Sohum Shah’s Tumbbad continues its impressive box office performance during its re-release, reaching new heights each day. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, the film was re-released in Indian theaters on September 13, and has now crossed the ₹20 crore mark domestically, making it the highest-grossing Bollywood re-release, surpassing Rockstar.

With no major Bollywood releases, Tumbbad benefitted from over 2,000 shows in its opening week. On National Cinema Day, the film saw a major boost, earning ₹3.04 crores. The strong momentum carried through the weekend, with ₹2.50 crores on Saturday and ₹2.59 crores on Sunday, bringing the second weekend total to ₹8.13 crores. This was a 10% increase over the opening weekend’s ₹7.34 crores.

After 10 days, Tumbbad’s re-release has amassed ₹21.57 crores at the Indian box office, combined with its original run, bringing the total to ₹35.05 crores. With a reported budget of ₹15 crores, the film has achieved an impressive 133.66% return on investment, earning ₹20.05 crores in profit.

At this pace, Tumbbad is set to comfortably surpass ₹30 crores during its re-run, with a chance to reach ₹50 crores in total collections.
