Subhodh Bhave’s Lokamanya – Ek Yugpurush is attracting audience to the theaters in large numbers. The film is a biopic of the legendary freedom fighter who brought into existence several practices in Maharashtra like the social celebration of Ganesh festival and many newspapers and magazines. The film is a tribute to the massive influential work he did over the years.
Subodh Bhave who has earlier worked in the bio pic on another historic character Balgandharva has won many accolades for the same and other films. The celebrated and award winning character has added another feather to his cap with Lokmanya which is doing wonderfully well at the box office. Word of mouth about the film is good and it is attracting people from all age groups. The best thing about the film according to them is Subhodh’s realistic portrayal of the character.
Not just Subhodh’s acting but his costume and make up is realistic. The actor went bald for the film. He resembles his character totally and his diction and manners are also like the legendary freedom fighter.
Recently the chief minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis , appreciated the film and called it a masterpiece. The collections of the film have been very high till now.
