Court, Killa and Elizabeth Ekadashi bag awards at 62nd National Film Awards
Marathi films have always brought laurels on the international and national awards platform. Once again, marathi films have made the marathi industry proud. This year too , there was no dearth of art films in the Marathi industry. Yet even on the commercial side , it did good with many mass entertainers like Lai Bhari, raking in oodles of money at the box office. Adult comedies like Poster Boyz also entertained the audience with it’s rib tickling comedy.
With the announcement of the national awards for films today, Marathi industry has got few more reasons to be happy. A few good films namely, Court, Killa and Elizabeth Ekadashi have won awards in various categories in this year’s national awards. It is the 62nd national awards and Marathi film Court has been adjudged the Best feature film. Court , which is directed by Chaitanya Tamhe, will receive Suvarna Kamal ( Golden Lotus). The film, as the title suggests is about the monotonous life in a court and the mundane activities which comprise the life of the people there.
The other films that won accolades include Elizabeth Ekadashi which is the best children’s film of the year. The film directed by Paresh Mokashe is a treat for the young audience and has equally impressed the jury.
Another film , Killa, has bagged the Rajat Kamal title for its sensitive story and realistic treatment of life. Just Marathi congratulates the winning film makers for bagging the prestigious award.
