Another weekend, another milestone for Chhaava! The Vicky Kaushal-led period drama is not just winning hearts but also shattering records at the box office. The film has now joined an elite league by becoming the second Indian film to collect ₹100 crore in its second weekend, marking yet another historic achievement.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to social media on Monday to share the film’s incredible performance. He wrote, “CHHAAVA STORMS AHEAD – BLOCKBUSTER RUN CONTINUES… #Chhaava continues its rampage at the #BoxOffice… Weekend 2 remains phenomenal, crosses the ₹100 cr mark from Friday-Sunday. #Pushpa2 #Hindi was the ONLY film to collect ₹100 cr in its second weekend… Now, #Chhaava has stormed past the ₹100 cr mark in its second weekend as well.“
Despite facing stiff competition from the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan cricket match in the Champions Trophy on Sunday, the film maintained its stronghold. Adarsh noted that business slowed post-noon due to the match, which otherwise could have propelled Sunday’s collection beyond ₹50 crore.
With Chhaava already crossing the ₹300 crore milestone on its tenth day, all eyes are now set on its next big target—₹400 crore! The upcoming Maha Shivratri holiday on Wednesday is expected to further boost its earnings, keeping its blockbuster momentum alive.
