“Bad Newz,” starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, has done well at the box office. The movie opened with ₹8.62 crore and earned over ₹30 crore by the end of its first weekend in India. However, its first-week earnings will depend on Monday’s collection.
Directed by Anand Tiwari, this comedy-drama saw a sharp decline of 68.61% on Monday, earning only ₹3.5 crore, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. The movie had a 13.65% occupancy rate in Hindi on Monday, with the highest in Jaipur at 21%.
In some major cities, heavy rain has affected the movie’s performance. Despite this, the overall box office remains steady. To achieve decent first-week numbers, the film needs to maintain its performance until Friday. Urban centers will have to compensate for the shortfall in the coming days.
